I am new at sugar flowers and have to make a cherry blossom branch of flowers. I can do the flowers. It is the branch I am having a terrible time with. Make it on wire? modeling chocolate, fondant? gumpaste? Help!!
I have made a football sphere cake covered with black and white fondant tesselations but I find that it is really difficult manouvering the cake around once the fondant is on the cake and the tesselations keep moving. Am I putting too much buttercream on the out side or does anyone have any other tips that may help?
hello there... i'm just a beginner baker and have made it my mission to make my son's first birthday cake. I have purchased everything to make and decorate the cake and even made my own cake board with the instructions on your site. Now it's time to decorate the board around the cake. The theme i've chosen is sesame street with the focus being a cook monster cake. Could you please offer some advice on what can be done to make the decorations more special and personalized for my son Jacob. The cake and the party is def for the parents at this point since he's turning one. But I just want to make a good impression for the guests attending the party. sorry for the long email. I'm just excited at the thought of trying to create the best cake possible for this special event. Hoping to hear from you soon and thanks for advance for your advice and response. Stephanie ps: i love the idea of making little roses or star shapes to set the candles in instead of directly on the cake. I'm stealing that idea. Thanks again!
