Cream cheese icing recipe
This cream cheese icing recipe yields deliciously creamy sweet and sour icing that goes well with carrot cakes and banana cakes and just about any other cakes.
Ingredients:
360g cream cheese (softened at room temperature)
90g butter
200g icing sugar, sifted
1 tsp vanilla essence
Method:
Beat cream cheese until soft.
Add butter and continue beating until mixture is light and fluffy.
Slowly add icing sugar, a little at a time and beat well. Add vanilla essence and continue beating until mixture is smooth and creamy.
The icing can be used as a filling to sandwich cakes or to frost the top and sides of cakes.
