Cupcake Wedding CakesThere are many creative ways of decorating cupcake wedding cakes. Most commonly used ones are off course, flowers, be it gumpaste flowers or real fresh flowers. If you are not a big fan of flowers and are looking for other ideas to decorate wedding cupcakes, here is one design I made last year for a wedding
The bride and groom were not particularly interested in using flowers on their cupcakes and were looking for a wedding cupcake idea which is not only simple, but also symbolic of the love they have for each other. So, when I suggested this double heart design, they liked it immediately. And the best part of it all is that the cost of the cupcakes is only a fraction of those cupcakes made using gumpaste flowers or any other more complex designs. The cupcakes were made in two flavors and I used white and ivory icing to differentiate the two flavors. Next, I used fondant heart cut outs in 2 sizes and 2 colors – red and pink and placed 2 hearts on each cupcake, securing them on with some royal icing.
