Decorating tips:I made this cake for my daughter's 11th birthday. She is a huge fan of Hannah Montana. When I asked her what kind of cake she wanted for her birthday party, she said she wanted a life size electric guitar. My first response was "There is no way I can do that! She continued to tell me how awesome my decorating skills were and that she knew I could do it. Needless to say I borrowed an electric guitar and I tackled the task and she was bouncing off the walls at her party. All of the guests were amazed at the cake that took up the entire table. It totally boosted my self esteem and I am no longer questioning my ability to do big and outrageous cakes. I have since then done an Optimus Prime, a Monopoly board, and cakes I would have never tried if it wasn't for my little cheerleader pushing me out of my comfort zone!
