Train Cake

I used the 3-D wilton train cake pan to make the train..then I did a bunch of accents with pearls and fondant for the wheels and windows. I liked the pearlized dust so I did all accents of fondant in silver. The bottom layer was two sheet cakes stacked with fondant that I imprinted to look like pebbles (just to give it texture) and then I brushed it all over with the pearlized dust to make it silver..

Firetruck Groom Cake

Fire Truck Groom Cake

Fire Truck Groom Cake

This is one of the most fun wedding cakes I've ever done. The bride and groom were both fire fighters. They wanted a fire truck groom's cake, which I did in red fondant covering chocolate cake. I went to a miniature store and found the wooden "ladder" to prop next to the wedding cake. The crowning touch was the figurine the bride purchased online- it was a fire fighter groom holding his bride in his arms! We placed it on the top tier, to suggest the fire fighter groom had rushed up in his edible truck cake, and scaled the ladder to save his bride. I was also delighted to find that the fire fighter groom had a tiny handlebar mustache painted on his face, to emulate the real groom!
